H1N1 Update 10.28.09 Two Rivers Public Health Department
H1N1 Update
10-28-09
There have been 17,100 doses of H1N1 vaccine administered in Nebraska from October 18th through October 24th, 2009. In this same time period, the medical providers for Two Rivers Public Health Department’s seven counties have administered 1,254 doses or 7% of the vaccine distributed in the State of Nebraska. We receive 5% of the vaccine allotted to Nebraska by the CDC because of our population in Two Rivers. We want to thank all of our medical partners for working so hard to get the vaccine to our people in the five priority groups designated by the CDC.
We are receiving Iimited amounts of H1N1 vaccine and supplies and will continue to get the vaccine to our medical providers based on population as quickly as possible.
Two Rivers Public Health Department reported our District’s first death of a man in his forties with H1N1 influenza. Our sincere sympathies go out to his family and friends.
