Welcome to the Two Rivers Public Health Department website. I know that you will find this website to be a helpful source of information about our department as well as a link to other health related resources. Our seven county public health district has the fourth largest population base (+92,000) among the newly created 18 health districts, including those in Omaha and Lincoln. I would like our health department to be accessible to the residents of Buffalo, Dawson, Franklin, Gosper, Harlan, Kearney, and Phelps counties.
The Two Rivers Public Health Department Board of Health members have participated in Strategic Planning for the district and have identified several priority areas for the department to focus on in the future. These include:
- Emergency Response and Surveillance Activities
- Wellness
- Resource Access
- Minority, Maternal and Child Health
With limited resources and a multitude of health issues, we want to be sure that we spend our time and money in the areas which will make the most positive impact for the greatest number of the residents of Buffalo, Dawson, Franklin, Gosper, Harlan, Kearney, and Phelps counties.
